Charles Bach, Jr.
Charles L. Bach, Jr., is a founding member and partner at Heidell Pittoni Murphy & Bach (HPM&B), New York. He has successfully defended hundreds of complex, high exposure lawsuits for prestigious academic medical centers, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. In addition to trying dozens of cases to verdict, Mr. Bach has successfully argued appeals to the United States Court of Appeals, the New York State Court of Appeals, and the Appellate Divisions of New York State Supreme Court. He earned his Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from St. John's University in 1974. In 1977, Mr. Bach obtained his Juris Doctor from Albany Law School of Union University where he was an editor of the Albany Law Review. Admitted to practice in New York, he represents clients before all the state courts as well as the federal courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts. Before joining HPM&B, Mr. Bach was an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County. As a result of his trial and appellate experience, Mr. Bach offers unique analytical insights to his clients. Notably, Mr. Bach has garnered a reputation for obtaining the best possible results prior to the commencement of a lawsuit and throughout the litigation process. As an expert, he has lectured extensively to national and local physician organizations.
